Beyond Emancipation offers a range of services to support former foster youth in their transition to living as independent adults, including:
Eligibility
Beyond Emancipation serves former foster youth residing in Alameda County who meet all of the following criteria:
- placed out-of-home through the California child welfare or juvenile justice systems;
- for at least one day after their 16th birthday;
- in any of the following: foster home, group home, residential treatment, probation or Kin-Gap
Generally, we serve youth aged 18-24. All of our services are available to youth aged 18-20. Starting at 21, eligibility varies by program area. It's best to give us a call or stop by the office so we can determine the ways we can help you.
